Testimonials
"When we needed equipment for our first bowling center
we talked with may equipment suppliers, We were the most impressed with Great
Lakes Bowling. Now, five years later we have opened our second center!
The decision of who would furnish our equipment and installation was easy.
Great Lakes Bowling still offers the greatest value for our dollars and more
options than anyone. Their back up and support after the sale has been outstanding! I highly recommend the Great Lakes Bowling to anyone
considering the purchase and installation of bowling equipment!"

"When it came time to purchase and install our bowling
equipment, there was only one choice,
Great Lakes Bowling! They handled all the details and offered us more options
than any other
manufacturers or dealer, and at a competitive price. Best of all, they completed
our project ahead of schedule! There is now question who will handle all
of our future bowling equipment needs....

It All Began With A 2-Lane Deal!
Steve Raasch, the president of Great Lakes Bowling
Company has bowling in his blood. When Raasch was growing up,
home away from home was a 24 lane bowling center which his father owned and operated
in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. "My father was a bowling proprietor in Milwaukee for
35 years," Raasch
some reason he
was always drawn to the back end and the machines! "I was pretty mechanical,"
he says. "Maybe that's why I'd always end up working with the
bowling equipment!"
As Raasch matured, he discovered an entrepreneurial side
to his personality. While he loved tinkering with the automatic pinsetters, and honed his skills by attending a school to learn more about their
intricacies, he
saw opportunities which
reached far beyond the confines of working at his father's center. The
deal involved
removing two lanes from the Central Y.M.C.A. in downtown Milwaukee and reinstalling them in another location.
Great Lakes Bowling slowly expanded nationally. In 1985,
it struck it's first international deal. Ironically, it involved shipping
24 pinsetters to Japan. The same country which had flooded the U.S. market only
a few years earlier. The rest as they say
is history, Great Lakes Bowling Equipment Company was born!
Some people don't realize there are alternatives in
planning your bowling center. There are so many options for proprietors
